Microsoft 365 Copilot is the paid add-on on top of free Copilot Chat. Your organisation licenses it through its Microsoft 365 tenant, at roughly $30 per user per month on annual enterprise pricing. It puts a Copilot pane inside Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams, so Copilot works on the document or inbox in front of you rather than only answering questions about it.
It also adds Work IQ grounding in your mail, files and meetings, and unlocks pre-built agents such as Researcher, Analyst and Facilitator. Unlike a Claude plan, you cannot upgrade it yourself: IT or procurement decides who gets it, often department by department. If you need it, name the exact capability you are missing when you ask.
